Hi all been away seems like ages long story all to do with hospitals etc :'(

Any way car went for mot . . . Passed :)

Needed a service so did the lot

new oil Auto box and filter
New plugs etc
any way now got misfire and found that the #4 plug HT ( that comes straight off the coil pack is arcing ?

so is it a new coil or lead as I cant find out on the net also crack behind the thermostat housing and needs another inlet manifold

So where is best to get parts for above

Whats the gasket as Local factor is asking is it 1 or singles ? :-[

Not sure Gazza, but on the PDF it says

7. Inlet manifold
* With the 2,3 litre DOHC 16V a new inlet
manifold made of plastic is introduced.

* The variable induction system (VIS) is no
longer fitted.

* There is an individual gasket to the cylinder
head for each intake channel.

I would have took "singles" to mean 4 individual gaskets, 1 piece for each cylinder. now I'm ???

Yep been to fords to get them 4 single ones and 1 for the water way so 5 rubber seals £40 and £400 for the manifold :o

So found one off ebay £60 will be here tomorrow

Manifold is also Galaxy and transit 2.3 engines so do a search on ebay for all 3 if you need one found mine under a Galaxy manifold here is another one . .

NOW even cheaper >:(

when you get round to removing the manifold remove the 2no reverce torex studs under side of manifold dont just take the nuts off.ther is a pk screw you get at from underneath if its still ther

Guys thanks for all the info New inlet manifold and coil pack installed and so far its running sweet

Yea got the torx bolts out Mine was one top right and one bottom left. . and that one bolt under neath was a pain so dissconnected the serpintine belt took out top bolt off alternator pushed it back and made job a lot easeyer

now im a happy puppy :)
