Title: Flat battery Post by mondeoman on Nov 28th, 2011, 7:31pm Hi, I've just had my 2.9 24v Ultima Saloon protected with Wax Oil and the guy rang me up after returning the car saying he found my battery had gone flat over the weekend. The battery is less than a year old and is heavy duty to match the power needs of the car. The only thing he claims he did was leave the bonnet up in the garage all weekend, but I don't see how that could have drained the battery? I have not had any evidence that the battery is not charged i.e dials flickering Anybody have any thoughts? Cheers, Simon |

Title: Re: Flat battery Post by Mike H on Nov 29th, 2011, 3:17pm No I can't see how that can affect it either. But also check boot and /or glovebox lights aren't on all the time. I took both bulbs out of mine to make sure ;D E.g. did he leave the boot open as well? |

Title: Re: Flat battery Post by Mike H on Dec 1st, 2011, 3:45pm Well previous owner had the battery keep going flat for a while, then it stopped going flat, just like that, then I got it, the glovebox light never worked, until I investigated (much later), burnt out bulb, sure enough switch won't turn it off when glovebox closed, so battery saver gizmo didn't help him then ;D |
