Morning all. Anyone know if there is a simple mod to have the alarm "chirp" when using alarm fob.

Cheers

Kev, have a read of This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/awdmod.htm) and check out'Flash on lock' in the links on the left. The authors are no longer on the site but if you have the electronic knowledge and ability you may be able to use the details.  :)

Thanks for that Simmo, but a bit beyond my electronic knowledge. Its a shame that he does not make them anymore. Does anyone else find that they have to be quite close to the car for the locking to work. I have three remotes now and none of them are brilliant.

Cheers again Simmo.

Yep, need to be close to car to lock or unlock it.   Even with new batteries, and the inside of the Fob with bits of foil under the bits you press.   Boot always seems to need two seperate presses one after the other to operate.   But it works which is the main thing!   :D

There is some one on ebay who repairs fobs, replacing the button contacts with micro switches, a good upgrade.

This (http://www.keyfobrepairshop.co.uk/services) might be what you are thinking of. There was a gent in Cumbria called PHil Heap who we contacted some while ago, after seeing an advert on e-bay, and he did the same thing. I couldn't find him on E-Bay but the site listed came up via Google.  ;)
