Title: Rear Sensors Post by PJDavis on Feb 16th, 2012, 1:57pm Anyone have a picture of where the standard reversing sensors are fitted. It would be great to place my colour-coded sensors as close to the standard fitted items. Peter |

Title: Re: Rear Sensors Post by Simmo on Feb 16th, 2012, 6:06pm There is a shot on This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/facelift.htm) which shows one of them. As standard there were only two, as you will see, just either side of the Index Plate. Personally I would fit four as you need to cover the corners. :) |

Title: Re: Rear Sensors Post by PJDavis on Feb 16th, 2012, 10:10pm Thanks for the info. I'm surprised there was only two sensors on such a wide car. I got a nice set of colour-coded sensors that fit flush on the bumpers, there are four of them and I'll fit them all. Bought a load of sets of these sensors for Engineering students to do electrical 'projects' with. There will be a few staff cars getting reversing sensors!! I'll put pics up once there done. :D |

Title: Re: Rear Sensors Post by Simmo on Feb 17th, 2012, 7:28am On my wife's Mondeo there is a plastic insert trim in the rear bumper. If you unclip that you will find holes in the foam behind where the sensors are designed to be fitted. There is even a grommet leading into the boot on the rear n/side to pick up the power and earth!. Hers look 'factory fitted' and cost me less than £20. :) This page (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Galactic-Warehouse/Reversing-Sensors-/_i.html?_fsub=19067413&_sid=62951714&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322) may be useful. I have bought from him and being local have simply gone and picked stuff up. |
