Just about to start fitting reverse sensors, does the bumper need to come off.

Kev. Certainly not on the estate. You will also probably find that there is a grommet in the boot which will allow the wires from the sensors to pass through into the interior and so attach to the control box. ;)

You'll have to be fairly select where you drill the holes, but I fitted colour-coded sensors just a few weeks ago, piece of cake, and the bumper stayed on. Do yourself a favour and buy a decent set, the cheaper sets don't last in my opinion.
