Title: 24V Idle rpm?? Post by Daniel on May 22nd, 2012, 7:37pm Hi all Not sure its a problem or not really but here goes.. on our 24v the engine runs at 500rpm when still. Is this normal with these engines? as we have never owned one before. Also it does shake a bit when still. Might be fine but compared to 2.3 that is just under 1000rpm it feels shakey and not stable. When driving its a different story ;D only when stationary. Now as you can prob tell im not very good when it comes to the mechanical side of things so i might just of made a fool of myself ;D but thought it was worth asking. Dan ;D |

Title: Re: 24V Idle rpm?? Post by adam on May 22nd, 2012, 7:50pm Mine live @ 750 ish. @500 would check for air leaks. Worth cleaning the idle by valve. OBD scan should throw some error codes at you. Also, when was the last service? Check the obvious first plugs, leads etc.. |
