Failed. Wishbone, and some welding mainly. About £150/£250 in total. Not sure, might scrap and look round for another

How bad is the welding? I know these aint granadas as such but in the old granadaclassics club we used to be in they sold stickers saying 'Keep Your Granny Alive' because you know the car unless the work is too much or you find a really good one id try to keep but thats just my opinon mate. 8)

I wonder why it's rusted around those areas. I know that may seem a stupid question, but mine is like new around there, and mine would have been an R-Reg if it had been bought straight away.

Well a bit of luck at last. Neighbour who loves working on cars (Triumph Spitfire at the moment) has had a look at the car, AND spoke to the MOT tester. He reckons he can do the welding for about £40 for me (He owes me a couple of favours). That should be good enough for the test. Anti roll bars (x2) ordered off Ebay and a number plate the same. Might as well get it done. Good for another year then. Relief.

Got mine done yesterday. Sailed through, no advisories. Must have been a good one from the start. Very pleased--- except for present air con woes, but thats another story :(
