Title: Anti roll bar
Post by Scorp_Kev on Jun 5th, 2012, 9:59am
My car failed MOT on:

Offside front lower anti-roll bar ball joint dust cover excessively damaged so that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (2.4.G.2)

Offside front anti-roll bar has excessive play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)

Have I bought the right parts.

Thanks all...

Reckon so...they are called 'drop links' and are a common failure item.
Easy part to change.

Hint ~ after watching Lee struggling to get his top nut undone (pardon the expression) someone on here suggested turning the steering to lock so you can then have room to get a normal sized spanner in.

Mike, Lesson learnt and nuts!!!! easier to get off with a spanner bent to ninety degrees. Worth it for the ease of the job thereafter :)
