Title: CALLING ALL 24V V6 COSWORTH OWNERS please read !! Post by Dave2302 on Mar 8th, 2013, 12:57pm Hi Guys / Gals, Does anyone on here have a Scorpio "Bug Eye" Cosworth 24V V6 1995 - 1997 Model Year that IS NOT FITTED WITH PATS (chipped keys) ??? I am currently involved in a Project on Ford Power to end up with a remappable ECU for the BOB and really need to do a (harmless) read on a non PATS ECU. Please Help ;) Thanks for looking, Cheers Dave |

The only difference is that on early models it was a separate unit and later it was integrated into the ECU. Is that what you mean - a Scorpio with the ECU and PATS separate? |

Title: Re: CALLING ALL 24V V6 COSWORTH OWNERS please read Post by Dave2302 on Mar 9th, 2013, 9:41am According to the FORD TIS they were built without PATS, although it is possible they were either for a special market (Police / Embassy / Forces cars etc), or that they were supplied abroad. Anyhow, I'm looking for a car with NO PATS Needle in a haystack I know, but what better place to ask than on here :) Cheers Dave |

Title: Re: CALLING ALL 24V V6 COSWORTH OWNERS please read Post by Dave2302 on Mar 28th, 2013, 9:26am Yeah, I know they were built, but few and far between, No PATS was even an option on the 98 cars with TACK ECU ;) However, I now have all the info I need for creating PATS and NON PATS bins to re flash the ECU's for Tuning or fitting the Engines in other Cars, Kit Cars etc. ATM I can delete PATS, Change Transmission Strategy, to fit a Manual or a different Auto Gearbox, (Say if you wanted to use the Engine as a FWD Auto with a CD4E type gearbox) ;) I can also can change all the Cooling Fan on / off temps (say if you're running no Cats, and want to use a lower temp Thermostat), the Engine will then run at a more sane temperature . Mine in the Puma runs at a rock steady 82 C now ;) I'm taking a few weeks sabbatacle from this as I have to many other projects on the go at the minute, but later on I will be able to delete things like EGR and tune stuff like Ignition Timing, Rev Limiters and Fuelling, so I shall be able to almost completely re spec the 24V ECU's ;D Cheers Dave |
