Hi all ,
Could someone please tell me if it is an easy job for an amateur to fit the above bushes.
And if there are any specific points to look out for.

I have changed the ones on the front and they are easy to do.

I think item 4 Here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/suspension/FSuspStabiliser.pdf) might help. If I am correct you may need the caps as well as the actual rubber bushes. The newer bushes do not have a depression in them like the old ones and therefore the 'old' metal caps will not fit. Just have a careful look and check as I had to replace both components, rather than just the rubber bushes, as a result of the design change. :)

Thanks for that guys, Simmo the bushes I have acquired from e bay have the depression for the metal caps, and thanks for the link, big help.

Bob, you should be able to just undo the caps and there will be enough movement to replace the bushes without further work. ;)

Ashley,

If you want them for a 2.3 your best bet is get them from Ford, you'll likely end up with the wrong size from Ebay (not the same size bar as the 2.0).
This was the part no & price EXC POST & VAT from Fordpartsuk last August:

Ashley,

As your posts say you have a 2.3 I assume that’s what you want them for.

I bought some off ebay & they were for a smaller bar than my 2.3 - I managed to fit them but they were too tight & didn’t last long as they wore through the impregnated lining.

If you want them for a 2.3 you need to cross reference them, I checked various places on the internet & they all said not for 2.3 or didn’t say but had same ref as others that said they didn’t fit – having found the Ford price it was a waste of time looking around.

Will look carefully at the size when they arrive, guy said they were for 2.3, if not thanks for part number.
