Title: Drivers side seat base bolster Post by amigafan2003 on Jul 24th, 2013, 4:23pm Hi All The drivers side base bolster on my seat has gone "soft" - so much so that I can feel the metal frame. Has anyone ever put new foam in these seats? Any tips? |

Title: Re: Drivers side seat base bolster Post by Tompion on Jul 24th, 2013, 4:48pm It's probably the steel frame gone through the foam & the bit of cloth that's with it (the frame sits in a pocket in the foam) - that's what happened to mine. I replaced the foam and the rubber support on mine as I wanted to see what a new one felt like, not that it felt that different, but I expect you can patch it up instead. The seat manuals here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/seatsmanual.htm Don't suppose it's available now, but I'll dig out the part no later. |

Title: Re: Drivers side seat base bolster Post by amigafan2003 on Jul 24th, 2013, 10:56pm Sounds good Matt. Looks pretty doable in the manuals. Found another problem - the "forward" button doesn't work. The seat does move forward if using one of the memory settings so it's not the motor, must be the switch :-( SO it looks like the seat needs to come out to investigate anyway as that's an MOT failure now (boo!). |
