Title: Cosworth water pumps Post by Andycan on Sep 23rd, 2013, 11:33am Would this be a cosworth waterpump? It doesn't say it is but it does say it is for my cosworth. If it isn't how hard is it to swap the insides over please? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Ford_Scorpio_2.9_1996/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/water-pump-gasket/?201560305&1&0dc93d713b304f9ff18f738dd226f702208993d8&000366 |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by Simmo on Sep 23rd, 2013, 11:51am It doesn't look like it to me. However before you rush in have a look at This article (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=admin;action=display;num=1330854351) which is in How to do Things. :) Update. Matt clearly agrees as our posts crossed. Thanks Matt |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by Andycan on Nov 1st, 2013, 11:49am Does anyone know the ford part number for the 2.9 24v waterpump please? |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by Matt on Nov 1st, 2013, 1:15pm If you know a good ally welder a 12v pump can be modified to fit/work. The square port needs blocking off and youll need a trip to a scrappy to get a hose tgat will fit better with the downward pointing outlet. Other then that i believe Dave2303 has the bits and bobs to rebuild them |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by Andycan on Nov 1st, 2013, 1:34pm Thanks Matt I knew that lol. Just found some waterpumps up for sale that are supposed to be for the 24v but I just wanted to check the part numbers before I considered buying one |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by Tompion on Nov 1st, 2013, 3:43pm I posted some part no's here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Problems;action=display;num=1309425302;start=0 I can't confirm they're right although I checked them out the best I could at the time. If you paste the 7 digit no’s into the search here: http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/ Except for the first one they come up with high prices which suggests they may well be right. |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by amigafan2003 on Nov 1st, 2013, 6:41pm Don't bother faffing about trying to get one from Ford - get one from Burton Power:- http://www.burtonpower.com/water-pump-cosworth-v6-24v-2-9-bob-epw01.html I fitted one of those over the summer and can confirm it's the right pump. Also, if you want to do the stat at the same time:- http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/by-pass-thermostat-80-deg *ignore the spinning pic - it's wrong. |

Title: Re: Cosworth water pumps Post by Andycan on Nov 1st, 2013, 7:26pm I tried burton power they say they don't have any and can't get them but they knew someone that could knock one up but I would have to wait a few months |
