What tyres should be on a 2.9 24v cosworth. I want two new tyres as the old ones are cracking on the walls and the tyre place said v rated are ok to fit as they go up to 150mph. On the car are w rated tyres and I want to make sure I dont invalidate the insurance.

Well my personal opinion is go for the 'W' rated tyre for a Cossie. Also there are weight issues, when a Scorpio is fully-laden and going at speed..........................

Didn't know that, it's not just the maximum speed for the tyre, it's the maximum speed it should do for 10 minutes ... :o
