Title: Tyre Grading
Post by Simmo on Nov 27th, 2013, 10:35am
I am about to fit two new tyres to my Estate and in the course of sourcing them I naturally encountered the 'Tyre Grading' system which most Companys display.
The tyres I selected had different 'grades' on different sites?.  ???  On ordering the tyres I queried this discrepancy as it is a manufacturers label not that of the supplier. The answer I got was..."It depends on where they are made. Tyres made, for example in Germany can have a different grading to tyres made, for example in Korea!!" ???  All I can say is check exactly what the label says for the tyre you are buying.  ;)  It seems that "like for like" may not be all it seems. :)

I did some research on this very matter when I purchased some new tyres for my VOLVO
The label as I understand it only relates to EU Laws as explained HERE (http://www.blackcircles.com/general/tyre-labelling/tyre-label)

;D  ;) ;) ;) http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/YaBBImages/rofl.gif
