Title: Just a reminder Post by Nunnspoet on Mar 19th, 2014, 11:48am Well folks, both of my 2.9 Cossie Estates started playing up a few weeks ago - a little hesitation on tick-over - a litle delay in acceleration - the occasional drop in the revs whlst just driving along - the throttle pedal a tiny bit heavier. None of the above happening all of the time or, necessarily in conjunctoin with each other. ::) Gearbox levels all fine. I cleaned the MAFs and was really suprised to find that all of the Plenum Jubilee Clips were really quite loose! I tightened them up, and now all is restored to Cossie specs 8). Both Scorps as they should be. I just thought I would write this up as often we/I can think the worst when something ain't quite right and the solution can be as simple as slacked off Jubilee Clips or a dirty MAF. By the way, Mill Autoquip can suply the corect size front/rear Discs and Pads for these Cossies at a good price. Ford wanted £164 + VAT just for the front Pads which ain't going to happen. Happy days! Mike |
