Title: Rear Shock Bushes - possible solution !!!
Post by Scorpio_Mike on Jun 17th, 2014, 6:49pm
Found this on the Sierra forum - apparently Land Rover Discovery front lower shock bushes are very similar and are only £8.50 from ebay

eBay item number : 321404289463

They are 40mm diameter but the lower rear shock bushes on the Sierra self levellers are 44mm - sleeve with a piece of tube and job done.

Might work for Scorpio's too   ;)

Hi Mike, are the Sierra self levelling shock absorbers available? Do you have a part number?
I searched but couldn't find self levelling units. Plenty of standard versions around though.
I ended up fitting the Mercedes shocks which seem to be doing the job ok.
Cheers,
Graham

No idea if the Sierra self levelling shocks are still available - I guess they probably are, as are the Scorpio ones - but at a price !
Sorry, don't have a part number.
I don't actually own a Sierra estate - I just noticed the thread on http://forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk/ which I thought might provide a solution to Scorpio owners.
I think you need to register - it's free - to access the site.
Thread is in the Technical section, Suspension, Steering & Brakes - http://forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=55476
