Title: Auto Box oil Post by Pianoman on Aug 24th, 2014, 4:00pm I am told I will lose some auto box fluid when changing the radiator, can anyone tell me what type I should buy? I can't see this info in the manual. Thanks Tony |

Title: Re: Auto Box oil Post by Snoopy on Aug 25th, 2014, 8:49am If you read my write up on changing the radiator you will note that the loss of ATF is NOT massive easily controlled. It was less than 1 litre from memory. HTH |

Title: Re: Auto Box oil Post by gozz on Aug 25th, 2014, 10:31am Tony. Your job will be slightly different from Snoopy's as yours is a 16v engine, but the general procedure is the same. |

Title: Re: Auto Box oil Post by Pianoman on Aug 29th, 2014, 7:34pm Thanks to everyone who replied. I am a little confused as in Snoopys write up, he drops the radiator out from under the car, but the doc here http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/cooling/Radiator.pdf does not ? Tony |

Title: Re: Auto Box oil Post by Scorpio_Mike on Aug 29th, 2014, 8:25pm Rad comes out from underneath - don't think it will come out from the top as the lower brackets make it too wide. Removing the front bumper might make the job easier ? |

Title: Re: Auto Box oil Post by Snoopy on Aug 30th, 2014, 7:58am TONY as far as I am aware the Radiator on ALL the models will NOT come out through the TOP . It HAS to be removed from underneath. Taking the bumper off might help but I did not need to. ( Yet another mistake in the TIS . Many discrepancies have been found over the years) HTH |
