No one has to my knowledge ever retro fitted the ford cruise control. There are however some after market ones that have been fitted.

Does it take it's signals from the wheel speed/abs sensors or from a sensor in the gearbox?

I wouldn't bother - it's the most useless extra ever devised, imho.

I did this and it works perfectly. Now it works with the remote control of the radio. Probably more ergonomic as the original on the steering wheel. It costs around 100-150 pounds. And 5 hours depending on your experience. It took me 2 weeks of constant thinking of solving problems...

Retrofit will not work (easily) with original parts. Of course you can always rebuild your car...

Let me know if you are still interested.
