Title: Front link rods Post by Pegasus on Oct 17th, 2016, 5:23pm Having changed the rear springs and link rods now need to do the front link rods. Anyone had experience with MIELE (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291252686852?clk_rvr_id=1108990514529&rmvSB=true) versions or is there a better alternative? Ta Paul |

Title: Re: Front link rods Post by Simmo on Oct 17th, 2016, 6:01pm Paul, have look at this entry (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=admin;action=display;num=1286373633) ;) and be sure to look at the link in the first entry. It is accessing the top nut in the 'shroud' that caused me a problem. ;) |

Title: Re: Front link rods Post by Tompion on Oct 18th, 2016, 3:21am As it's attached to & turns with the MacPherson strut if you put it on full lock you can get at the nut without having to bend a spanner. Not tried the MIELE ones, have a look at this thread: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=display;num=1425064677 |

Title: Re: Front link rods Post by Pegasus on Oct 18th, 2016, 6:26pm Thanks Lads, census seems to that as they're cheap and may need regular changing and the alternatives come out at about £35/pair no brand seems to offer an advantage. Surprised the originals lasted this long (102k). I'll just pick a set and go for it. Cheers Paul Update: rec'd quote from FPUK: £54 EACH :o |
