My 2.3 Ultima decided to chuck it's AC Pump. I've removed the drive-belt, and the pulley is absolutely goosed on the AC Pump, I could really do with using the car before I fit the new pump. Is there a drive belt for a non AC car? If so does anyone have an approximate size? Presumably I can just 'miss-out' the AC Pump and put the 'other' belt around the remaining pulleys, yes?

Does the pulley turn by hand ? - engine off of course !
If the compressor has seized but the pulley turns you can remove a small blue or green relay from the Aux fuse box on the passenger side which stops the A/C clutch engaging - remember the A/C comes on by default when you start the engine.
Had this happen on mine some years ago - it ran quite happily till I could get the compressor replaced.

Looking at the fuse-box diagram it seems that the relay Mike talks about is listed as R24.

I did the modification on my 2.3 you have to get the transit non a/c belt
