Hi is there a list of dash codes linked to car engine and specs etc, or numbers for a 1996 cosworth saloon
Thanks  Roy

Type codes are listed as part of the instrument reset here:

Hello Tompian,

What I was referring to was the Ford part No for the instrument cluster for a1996 cosworth saloon, as I have been told you MUST have the right replacement - this seems to be linked to the ABS light inoperative (but not the ABS itself).
It is the large number embossed into the rear of the housing, starting 95 or r95, many on ebay but dont know if right onee or any good?

These numbers are on the back of a cluster that was fitted to my 24v Ultima with ABS and traction control:

>ABS<
95GP-10A855-AA
DIU7A

I'm looking for a replacement for my 2.0L 16V Ultima Estate. It has exactly the same numbers as Tony's 24V Ultima so the engine size & traction control doesn't seem to matter.
There is also a German one (Km/h) on eBay with the same number 95GP-10A855-AA (prefix & suffix not shown) so whether they are mph or Km/h doesn't seem to come into the numbering either.
Tony, is your one for sale?
Bob

Had you tried resoldering the pin?

I can't see anything in the wiring diagrams to indicate any model uses a different pin on the cluster for the ABS warning light.

My 2.3 has the same except AB suffix, however there's another number on the black part of the case but I think these are just the case part numbers, ABS being the plastic type.

If you have the "do not store lense down" label & another label that are brown with age try looking closely for a number. A gentle wipe with a damp finger on mine revealed 95GB 10849 SB

Looking at this translated page that also gives the finis it appears the suffix of the label number varies according to type:

If you tried disconnecting the ABS plug as suggested & it didn't put the ABS light on you could try earthing the pin on the cluster to see if the LED is faulty.

As I have my dash out at the moment I've just tried it on mine.

It's the smaller of the 2 adjacent plugs behind the rev-counter, you can easily see the terminals in the plug & probe with a pin or whatever.

The pins you need to earth with the ignition on are:
ABS
Black/Red pin 5

TCS
Black/Green pin 11 (immediately above pin 5)

Both lit up on mine & I don't have TCS :)
