I've been wanting to overhaul the rear suspension bushes on my Scorpio for quite some time and have been searching for polyeurethane bushes given they last so much longer than standard rubber bushes.

Of course, our cars are too rare for the manufacturers to make bushes specifically for the Scorpio II.

I've long wondered whether the rear bushes for a Granada Mk3 /Scorpio would fit?

The trailing arms and cross member look identical in the Ford Catalog, despite different FINIS numbers.

I did email Powerflex but they just said they don't stock Poly bushes for the Scorpio II.

Has anyone ever fitted Poly bushes to our cars or can anyone shed any light on whether the cross member and trailing arms are identical?

(Bizarrely I have come across the large front wishbone bush in Polyeurethane from a russian seller on ebay ;D )

Flo-Flex also make poly bushes but although they are long lasting be aware that they may make the ride very hard.
Have you investigated if Sierra bushes would work ?
The rear beam on a Sierra is very similar to the Mk3 'G'

Says Granada on all of my posts :)

I've looked at the Russian bushes - they don't have a rotating sleeve & I'm not convinced the plastic has enough give to accommodate the wishbone travel, my feeling is the nut will work loose.

The rear beam (crossmember) support bush, Finis 1028329 (which I still suspect is the same as the mk3 Granada and Sierra ones, Finis 6141919) are just shy of £48 whereas a Mk3 Granada one is a mere £9 on a well known auction site.

The trailing arm bushes (rear), Finis 1026182, of which there are four are a ludicrous £32.36 each :o Seems rather steep for such a simple bush.

The rear anti roll bar bushes, Finis 7322919 are a more palatable £3.47 each

Some sites list 6141919 as being correct & you can squeeze them into place however they are not the same as 1028329 - I tried them but took them out & got the right ones but to be honest I don't think there was much wrong with the old high mileage ones ::)
