Title: drivers door module, help
Post by Torbayboy on Jan 12th, 2023, 10:52am
Just wondering if any other  motors have the same module as the Scorpio.

Finis number and picture links would be useful also.

Looking for  needle in a haystack here.

Any (sensible) suggestions welcome.

This is the right one for fixing window problems? Have no windows from drivers door and no mirror adjustment, windows still work from their individual doors and n/s mirror still dips on reverse.
Sorry to be a pain but don't wanna waste 40 quid on wrong item.

Thanks   :o :o :o

Driver door module is most likely suspect if mirror & windows not working from driver door.
Does the seat memory still work as that is via the same module.
The n/s mirror is controlled by the Passenger door module.
You could try changing the driver door window switches first though just to be sure.

Local spanner had all switches prised out yesterday, and the connector to the door. Sprayed with wd40 but no improvement.

Had this trouble before with my grey cos estate, but have a spare grey 2.0 saloon (scrap) so swapped the door & that fixed it

Funny thing was that this time it went down in stages, as I had adjusted the seat and saved, inadvertantly opened the back window, put that right and opened mine fine.

Stopped & bought some petrol and the right hand switches had failed but passenger side was OK went for a T break in a cafe, came out and then they all failed.

Scorpio's don't you jess luvum!!

;D ;D

Is the module also to do with global closeing and double locking.

Hi Gerald, the car is too early for global closing, and I never double lock as the car has remote battery disconnect.

Had a look on the "spare" car and it seems to be up in the corner below the mirror, looks a right pig's ear to do, any links for this?

Thanks for all your replies and help, seems there are a lot of these in Lithuania, tried brittania breakers but the don't break anymore but did have interest in my scrapper on the drive despite my saying wanger boys pay a grand for them now (if you can find one" karma's great innit?

It's not too difficult. Take the door lining off, cut a couple of tie wraps, undo a couple of screws and it slides out.
Should only take an hour.
