Title: Estate - Self levelling compressor location?

Hi. Can anybody tell me where the suspension air compressor is located?  I thought SLS was standard on all Ultima Estates, but I cannot find it anywhere

They have self levelling shocks, see here:

The worn lower bush shown wasn't available (and would fail the MOT) or if they were leaking some people fitted standard shocks rather than pay for the very expensive self levelling ones (although you could swap the bushes over instead).

If you look at yours the proper ones are too fat to be taken out down through the wishbone, if the self levellers have been fitted they're thinner and will go through the wishbone hole.

The bushes did become available & I changed mine:

Many thanks.  Does that mean the self-level fuse & relay references in the manuals are a red herring and a false carry over from the earlier (pre-95) Scorpio/Granada estate?

I think so, but always possible very early Scorpio's still had the Granada set up.
