Title: OBD CODES Library Post by Berkin on Oct 2nd, 2004, 8:57pm Hello Everyone, Found a library of OBD2 Codes at P0100 - P0199 Fuel and Air http://www.tunemycar.com/p0100.html left this one in for reference with corrected link, see advice below! Mike B Ford Land Rover Disco site provides this interesting set with decriptions and effects, for amateurs like me! Treat these with care as they are not Scopio codes and descriptions. tech - transmissions - automatic gearbox fault codes http://www.disco2.com/tech/trans/autocodes.phtml Fault code, OBD II (TestBook) Fault description Effect Warning lamp illumination MIL Sport/Manual P0705 (14, 23) * Gear position switch, incorrect outputs Maintains current gear in low range, limp home mode in high range. Shift pressure to maximum, harsh gear shifts/engagement. On On However See Below for Scorpio Codes etc Good luck (Edited many times to incorporate Scorpio Bits from Eric R) |

Title: Re: OBD CODES Library Post by Eric_R on Oct 2nd, 2004, 9:42pm Berkin, Thanks for the thought, but it is best to rely on the Ford-specific codes written and enabled on the EECV. They are at http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/codes.htm EricR |

Title: Re: OBD CODES Library Post by Berkin on Oct 2nd, 2004, 10:38pm Thanks Eric R and hth, You are so right! However, we could do with some descriptive bits like the Ford Land Rover disco guys have, which are approved for Ford Scorpio. I had a Load of Trouble translating even simple things like VSS (vehicle speed sensor ) at first, The connections require getting used to. By the way I also found a two column multipage list of abreviations. Its in theback of a big PDF. Regards to all Mike B |

Title: Re: OBD CODES Library Post by Eric_R on Oct 3rd, 2004, 2:42pm Berkin, That would be the http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/obdabbrev.htm page, then. It shows the meaning of the abbreviation as well as where to find it on Vehicle Explorer software. Have you looked at http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/obdindetail.htm ? EricR |

Title: Re: OBD CODES Library Post by Berkin on Oct 3rd, 2004, 9:01pm Hi Eric R Many thanks yet again. It seems that while I am reasonabley internet savvy (run a 400 page web site and write in HTML etc). Its the old indexing problem again. If you don't know what its indexed under you will never find it! I searched using google for "OBD2 codes automatic gearbox faults" and ended up every where but on the home ranch. I face the reverse of the problem on my web site trying to guess what the punters will search for! Found another essential artical once more by .... http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/easyguide.htm Found this great artiicle http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/eecv.htm Loaded all into word and printed them. Can't manage the Links while reading print (in Bed,(how sad)).! Great help Thanks Mike B PS these & more can be accessed from Home page Via: -> About the car -> Hard core Technology -> follow any button on left begins with "E" My OBD" Expeience is much improved by following this route. Many thanks again. |
