Title: Re: OBD Lead Required Post by rinusdamen on Feb 22nd, 2005, 9:17pm Anyone know where i can find a working scheme for a obd lead. I'm searching for months now, but stil no working scheme found; elm series not counted. I want a lead which is not dependent on a single manufactor with a special ic. Is ther someone who knows about the protocol? on bit level? so i might build a interface myself. Also a problem is my thirt party alarm system; the cossy uses a can-bus; i have (still) no idea of how to monitor or record this signal for controlling the alarm system. Are there more technichian intrested in these problems? maybe we can help each other. Rinus Damen |

Title: Re: OBD Lead Required Post by OddJob on Feb 23rd, 2005, 9:09pm Hi Sierragls I recently ordered (06/02/05) the OBDII lead from www.obd-2.com as well as an extension cable, here are the costs I incurred if it helps you to decide before buying. OBDII lead ($144) + 50ft extension cable ($22) free shipping for both Total cost: £79.34 cost of lead @ $1.8150 (when purchased) £7.66 customs on arrival + £1.00 handling fee by Royal Mail for underpaid items Please note that I will actually take possion of them tomorrow 24/02/05 and that delivery will have taken 18 days to reach me and not within the 3-15 days that they stated. But that's just my luck :'( |
