Hi George.

There's a list of codes here... http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/codes.htm
Hope that's of some help.

As for fixing things, I guess it depends what's wrong  :-/

hi there

it's an issue with the lambda sensors on bank 1. p0141 is the heater on the rear sensor. not a problem as it is only a monitor. p1131 is lack on switching on the front one. check wiring or replace sensor. are you getting dodgy running?

George,
Look through http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ho2smonitor.htm first.
You really need to log the HO2S sensors first and check the Long Term Fuel Trims (LTFT) before definitely condemning the HO2S sensor.

Read through that and come back to us. Are there any driveability issues? Why did you look for DTCs ?

thanks andrew and eric the owner of the car asked me to look at it for him it is a 2.0 16v with gas also the owner told me it was drinking petrol and really running rough on tick over so i looked the car over and found it to have a really bad air leak  on the inlet manifold so i asked the owner to order all the new gaskets so i can strip it  down to find where the air leak is but i just thought i would just try the obd lead to see if any codes where coming up and thats the codes from the car so there you have it

thanks again

hi there

the lack of switching is ok in this instance. it will be disabled when running on gas (hence the error code), if it's setup like mine. try looking at it on petrol, should be scanning. check the spark plugs and close the gap a bit....0.8mm or 0.9mm is fine.

let us know how you get on. :)

took a look at the car stripped it down and replaced all the gaskets on the inlet and the car ran a bit better but not perfect so out with the break cleaner again to see if there was any more air leaks and yep there was and i found a pipe off under the inlet manifold which i could onlt get to by taking the alternator half off and only then could i get it on with a pair of long nose pliers because of the lack of room and the car runs fine now
