Well I dropped it in the Sapphy 3 weeks ago, ( needed somwhere dry to put it!! ) and pulled it out today to put round the back of the garage..

What ECU are you going to use?

The actual ENGINE wiring is very simple, look at the scorpio website, I think Connector 112 or 113 is the engine hookup..

yeah i think i got the connectors sussed, black for the engine and the brown for the auto box. Two points really, as the engine was attached to an auto box will i have to hot wire the loom to make the ecu think its in "park" so the engine will start, and secondly how do you power up the ecu and what to?. ive got the ecu v.   cheers.

The ecu will need to think the car is in park all the time as it will not know why it cant control the auto box,you will still need the VSS,you will have to look on the main site for the pin outs of eecv you normaly need an always 12v & ign. switched 12v you will need to keep lambda sensors too or it will run in open loop ie think engine is always cold & so use extra fuel ,dont forget you will need a spigot bush as autos didnt have one.

DID you get all the PATS stuff as I don't think it will run at all without that?

I think the later scorpios had the PATS in the eecv?but i think thier are companies that can sort this, best would be to wire it using a BOA eec4 & then you only have to sort out the VIS.

That's my plan, although there's a chance it may not run brilliantly..

I will invest in Megasquirt when funds allow and get MY spare BOB running on that.

thanks for the advice, much appreciated. regarding the park hot wire, does that mean i can dispense with the rest of the gearbox loom.  ???

No, you need the vss (vehicle speed sensor)still ,which you most likly have in your box if its a mt75
