but I need to ask it, if I am connected properly to the laptop will the dashboard automatically start showing readings ??

hi there

are you talking about the dashboard feature in the VE software?

you need to go into data, then pid possible and select what you want to scan. then you go to the dash feature and select the dial and tell it what to show using the drop down commands.

i hope this makes a bit of sense, kinda hard to explain in words.

yep VE,  thats the sort of thing I needed to know, thanks I'll try again tomorrow
