Title: Re: ELM 320 Post by ADroste on Nov 12th, 2007, 8:53pm Andy, don't be too dissappointed, if you do not get very much support from here. Most of the OBD-2 interrogators here use Alex Pepper's leads. If you understand German, you can try to get help from here: www.obd-2.de. Regards Armin |

Title: Re: ELM 320 Post by Havinga on Nov 14th, 2007, 11:04pm I've used the elm 320 serial, works fine. plug it in, switch ignition on, Should connect, if not check for a com port prob, make sure if your using a usb to serial adapter that the software is set for the right port, eg com2 an check the adaptor is set the same and not set itself to something like com7. the two flashing leds means it's talking to the interface. |

Hi Andy, I'm not familiar with the ELM320 however I'm assuming your port nos are the same. Sometimes when I start my OBD (Alex Pepper's) my PC prompts me to enter a different port no in order to connect. My PC has ports 1-6 (I think) and sometimes it'll run on no.6 or 3 or 4 then I'm in. Its nice when it prompts you - does yours do this or can you check the values? HTH Paul |

Title: Re: ELM 320 Post by wobbs on Nov 21st, 2007, 6:56pm Hi Paul Vehicle explorer software prompts me to change port so i change the port but it makes no difference, OBD2 software has 5 ports to choose from but it tells me there's no connection on this port if i have the port settings wrong. Scantool software has 8 ports to choose from but this software says "can not find the interface" Regards Andy |
