Title: Re: Help with DTC`s please Post by Simmo on Jan 24th, 2008, 7:13am Have a read of THIS (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ho2smonitor.htm) page as it would appear that one of the Lambda sensors is u/s. The first code relates to the air intake sensor, which ,on the 2.3, is fitted under the inlet hose to the throttle. |

Title: Re: Help with DTC`s please Post by scorpio_man on Jan 24th, 2008, 9:16am hi there first of all clear all the codes and run it for a day or two to see if they come back. if they do, the pre cat sensor on the driver's side is suspect. check the wiring to it. if it's sound, you can get a sensor from cats direct (4 wire) for about £30 without plug. a bit of a pain to change on the 24v, so get the lambda socket as well. re the air intake sensor, this might have been unpluged with the engine running, hence the code. this will have an effect on the car if it's faulty. hth |

Title: Re: Help with DTC`s please Post by scorpio_man on Feb 7th, 2008, 10:13am hi there one of the reason for your poor running is in photo 2. you're running open loop, ie the lambda sensors are not controlling the fueling (that's IF the car was running for more than 180 seconds). there's not a lot of info from your photos. photo 1 doesn't show what % correction on the fueling between banks, though you have a dtc (driver's side pre cat), but it also thinks this sensor is u/s. the MAF reading looks fine at 0.4. the tps reading is a bit high. should be in the 16% range when closed. re the lambda sensor reading. do the switch nicely between 0.2 and 0.8'ish? and switch quite fast? could be anything. :-/ main ones are.... lambda sensor(s) cat(s) fuel pressure regulator air leak wiring i'd still look at changing that lambda first, along with looking at the wiring and air leaks. hth |
