What difference between 16 pin Data Link Connector on (Scorpio 2,3 DOHC 1998) and normal 16 pin Data Link ConnectorOBD-2 (Others car)?

the scorpio uses pwm and iso.

I heard, that in scorpio 2,3 1998 ford have changed pin in ODD2 Connector

hi there

not sure i understand what you require. :-/

the connector is the same as all other car makes. it's a eu/us standard. has to be within 1 metre of the steering wheel area.

I have 2 different scanners and they work on my friends car (Scorpio 2,0 DOHC 1996 and 2,9V61998)
but it not connect with my 2.3DOHC1998

hi there

now we're getting somewhere! i've had this happen to me at one of the shows.

my lead worked on every other car bar one.

i think one of the pins in the connector was slightly mis placed. we never had time to look further, but that's where i'd look first.

I have checked up connector but all pins have been well fixed.
Someone has told to me that it is the result of change pin in ODD2 Connector In the some Scorpio 2.3 98.
How I can solve this problem ???

hi there

i've not heard of any change and i've scanned a few late cars without issue.

that being said, it was a 2.3 that failed to scan at the show, so there could be something in it.

maybe you can check all the pins....

Im check all the pins today. all of them identical 95+
???
One guy has told me that Ford modified OBD2 on Scorpio 2,3 98 and some Mondeo.98-99
and It can be defined only by the special Ford scanner >:(
