are the OBD codes the same on all fords.IE galaxy petrol NSE Y5B with a VW auto box ??

hi there

the engine should be the same (2.3 is). not sure about the 'box, but it should be running ford software. :-/

do you have an issue/code?

yes scorpioman.2.0 petrol auto.put it in d or r it stales .if you can get going in d it goes ok till you hove to stop .apantiley box is braking up and cloging up the lockup in the box. so we find batterd galaxy .drive it round fore a week and its A1.put the good box in compleat including all electrical sensors .now it goes backwards and forwards till you get to 3 4 and they have disaperd .engine just reives untill you slowdown and engage 2 agane.hase the galaxy and box to bee programed together

Hi,
the industry standard is for all codes to have a letter followed by 4 numbers. Most are generic, so:

Letter: B=body, C=chassis, P=powertrain, U=network
1st no: 0= generic to all types; 1-manufacturer specific
2nd no: 1-8 identifies a specific vehicle system
last 2 nos are the specific fault designation

so P0171 = system too lean bank no 1 - for all vehicles (the 1 = fuel/air metering)
but P1352 = ignition coil A primary circuit fault - may or may not be common or even applicable to your motor (the 3= ignition system or misfire).

The ability to find all these codes depends on your scanner and the age of the vehicle.

hi good members can sumeone tell me obout thease codes pass-inst pass-pcm pass-rcm 0x102-1f-tcm 0x104-1f-tcm 0x106-1f-tcm 0x108-1f-tcm 0x10A-1f-tcm 0x10C-1f-tcm 0x10E-1f-tcm 0x12C-22-tcm they relate to VW gearbox ??
