have a obd2 lead and sofware and i cant scan the car as it says scanning all interfaces and then freezes

any idea car is a r reg 2.3

What version of the software are you using?
Ver 1.55 doesn’t work properly.
I use ver 1.51 you can get it here:

Add
ve151all
to the above link and you'll start the download

I had such problem on my scorpio 2,3.
work properly only with ELM327 v1.2.

That download is a self extracting zipped file and should open and run if you double click it .

Just tried it, I should have put .exe on the end of the link, or you can just add it to the downloaded file.
