Title: PATS codes Post by adamn on Mar 4th, 2009, 5:06pm Hi, some things I have recently found, admin feel free to move it, whatever. I finally got my car running (fault due to wiring, probably, see other thread), and as I was scanning all the modules with VE, I found following: - can scan EECV - can scan CCM - can scan PATS if I go with standart PWM speed 120, the car is actually hiding some codes !!! (or does it VE ?) if I switch to PWM speed 1 (hyperspeed), not only it goes faster, but also I can read previosly hidden codes (EEC, see my other thread). but back to the topic: I've read the PATS using VE, and I have got following code: U1147 after some going thru PDFs, I have found following: This code indicates a communication issue (Bus+, Bus-) between the PCM and PATS(VIC/HEC/SCIL). This code CANNOT be caused by PATS key, PATS transceiver, or the circuits between PATS transceiver and PATS control.Whenever PATS has U1147 as a stored DTC,maximum number of keys already programmed). there should be a P1260 Theft Detected - Engine Disabled in the PCM stored codes. Verify that P1260 is stored in PCM. If not, there is a possible power-up issue of the PCM (i.e., PATS is powering up at key to RUN/START but the PCM is not, therefore when PATS tries to communicate over Circuits 914 and 915 to the PCM, there is no response); verify power and ground circuits to the PCM; verify the tester can communicate with the PCM. In my case, I do not have P1260 in PCM, so that was just a problem with EEC not powered up = wiring problem. That is what I just had, I guess. For the whole list of PATS codes and some more info, check http://sc.an-d.cz/PATS.PDF (don't get confused by the list of cars, it is not complete). note it won't be there forever |
