hi i have a obd 2 scanner but it wont fit my scorpio ultima 2.3 auto. can anyone tell me what will fit and maybe send me a link to one on ebay so i know what im looking for.

I have one as well, looks exactly the same but mine is model number U380, not sure if there is a difference to the U480 though.

hi thanks for the replies as always very helpful, happy new year to you all too.

yeah we got the car fixed in the end the head was cracked and that was a bit of a nightmare, but since we have had it back we have worse probs with the gearbox. it will go in reverse but the lights wont come on, also when starting her you have to put it in gear 2 to get her moving then into drive, the garage thing it might be a sensor inside the gearbox we replaced the sensor cant think what its called now but it was on the outside of the box, its had a complete gearbox oil change and filter done.
so wanted to get a obd to see if we can find any faults. i have a obd 2 but wont fit.

the locost ones are fine fore engine codes but not a lot of good on abs ore gearbox codes

Rod. If you look at the site it does mention the two models and in fact the guy sells both. ;)

right can someone just confirm if i have a r reg 2.3 ultima estate automatic then i will need the u380 one? thanks

The U380 will do the job, but as 5stud says........It's not a lot of good on abs or gearbox codes

Also the U380 will not read CANBUS .........which I don't think the Scorpio has anyway,........... whereas the U480 will.

Laptop + www.obd-2.com tricom lead is best way to go
