Just a quick question.

I seem to have lost the menu bar on the left hand side of the home page on the main Scorpio site, has any body got any ideas of why this would happen? I’ve tried navigating to the home page through different ways but still the same result.

Dunno.... it may not work but have you tried a force refresh of the site? ctrl and F5 while on the page.... it's flushes the page that was cached and forces the browser to redownload the page.

May or may not work but worth a go.

There have in the past been several people reporting the failure of the buttons on the main page failing to appear... It is as I understand it written in java script but as Vulcan states try doing a refresh of the cache or clean out your history and temp files and all cookies this might just solve the problem if not you can always navigate the site from here

Thanks for the advice Vulcan/Snoopy. I tried the forced refresh with no result also cleared all temp files, cookies and history but still no buttons on main page! I tried the link snoopy sent and I was able to enter the site but still no buttons. Any other ideas more than welcome. Please bear in mind that I’m not a computer programmer so any advice given; please do so in a step-by-step method so that a child could understand.
Also sometimes when I log onto the forum & click through pages I loose my log on, so my apologies now if I do not respond to any advice straight away.

There was a post on here before the crash of someone in the 'Admin' section keeping a log of who what and where this happened.. I think it was PeteC but I am sure i will be corrected but other than that I don't know what to suggest.....

Have you recenly installed some software which has caused this to happen or more than likely its good ol' Bill Gates Software falling over again!

The menus are created and displayed using JavaScript and if you have a problem using JavaScript (such as a firewall or Norton) then it may block the menus.

Try disablng any firewall or norton and try again - if that fixes it then look for settings in your software to allow JS on the fordscorpio.co.uk site

I do have Norton running and a fire wall so I’ll look into that when I get home later this evening. I’ll post my results.

Still no joy.
I disabled Norton including fire wall and still no menu buttons! Several weeks back I downloaded & ran SPY BOT programme to check/remove any spy ware on my system could that have anything to do with it?

Just an update, All seems aok now, I don't know why? But I now have full access with no problems. thanks for all your responces.
