Title: Spot The Difference Post by Paul B on Nov 27th, 2004, 6:42pm Some light entertainment for you all. Among other things I've done this afternoon, I carried out a slight modification on the car. Can you spot it? Actually, I need some opinions as to what you think about it. Here's the before & after pics... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/PCBoulton/Bellebefore.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/PCBoulton/Belleafter.jpg |

Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by bertie on Nov 27th, 2004, 6:51pm you drove over a kerb and scrached the front right bottom corner of the bumper !!! hee heee seriously...you changed the side repeaters......... and polished the car !!! LOOKING GOOD MATE simon |
||
Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Paul B on Nov 27th, 2004, 7:07pm :o You're too sharp eyed mate - you weren't supposed to notice that scrape (which I didn't do). And I didn't polish it either, just a quick(ish) wash and leathered off. But dead right otherwise though Simon :) |

Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Paul B on Nov 28th, 2004, 7:08am I fancied trying these 'Crystal' ones so that they'd match the front indicators. Just a sensible, subtle, tasteful mod I thought. Mind you, they don't match the rear ones. But can they ever? :-/ Been looking at my pictures again and thinking that it looks like I've done the job in a 'Photoshop' program. But I haven't. I must've taken the second one from an almost identical place to the first. ;D |

Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Baz on Nov 28th, 2004, 11:35am Looks good. I never liked the orange repeaters on any car Baz |
||
Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by craig on Nov 28th, 2004, 3:35pm nice pics there paul,agree with baz,never liked the orange ones,on mine (cuirass),i removed the orange ones,and replaced them with blue ones,pics are on the site,under readers wives,maybe if i have time and patience (more of the latter ;D),will post a pic here...... dont go holding your breath though ;) ;) |
||
Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Geoff_W on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:05pm Well OK boys ;D I am sold on a move from Orange. What are my options? Where do I track down different side repeaters? How much do they cost? Bye the way nice wheels George :) |
||
Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Paul B on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:26pm Craig... I'm sure you will persevere and get a picture up here sometime. I can't get into the readers wives section for some reason ??? but I have always liked your blue ones - they look good. Likewise with yours too Baz. Are they 'black' black or kinda smokey? Whatever, they look well. Geoff... There's all sorts of colours around. It really depends what colour your bodywork is as to what will suit. By the way, you'll find a few on e-bay as well as other outlets. They seem to be about 15 quid (mine came nice 'n' cheap) ;) |
||
Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Paul B on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:52pm Hmm... the crystal ones are much more expensive than colours it seems. Just found this selection on E-bay... Scorpio Side Repeaters (http://search.ebay.co.uk/ford-scorpio-repeaters_W0QQsofocusZbsQQsbrftogZ1QQcatrefZC6QQsojsZ1QQfromZR10QQsacategoryZ-1Q26catrefQ3DC6QQsoloctogZ9QQsotrZ2QQsosortpropertyZ2Q26sosortorderQ3D2QQcoactionZcompareQQcopagenumZ1QQcoentrypageZsearch) |

Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Dave Boulton on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:52pm Ok, old "stick in the mud" here likes his orange ones. I think they work better with the green I've got. Having said that, I think Paul, Baz and George have the right colour for their cars. Will look to see how other colours work with Tourmallard at the next meet (if anybody has changed over) and then decide. Nice photos guys. Another interesting topic to ponder... ;D Dave |

Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Nick_H on Dec 9th, 2004, 7:10pm Thanks you guys. I was toying with the idea of smoked repeaters on mine - thought they might go well with the Aubergine paintwork. I feel much more inclined to go buy some, now... |

Title: Re: Spot The Difference Post by Paul B on Feb 9th, 2005, 6:55am I was shocked :o when I saw how the pictures came out because they're lovely and sparkly in real life. Didn't notice anything at the time. Maybe it appears to be a colour it actually isn't? :-/ Or maybe it is light surface rust due to the fact it had been sitting in that position while being washed & leathered. Anyway, when I saw the pic on screen, it made me go back outside and look, only to find them nice 'n' silvery. :) |
