Title: Scorpio Toys Post by mr._floppy on Dec 11th, 2004, 9:14pm Not counting looks , performance etc, what feature, gizmo or innovation on your Scorpio gives you the most childish pleasure , which you never tire of pointing out or demonstrating to friends , family or anyone who is foolish enough to show any interest. My personal favourite is the passenger door mirror which dips when reverse is selected, to enable perfect parallel parking. Genius!! The Puddle lights are great too! |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Paul B on Dec 11th, 2004, 9:31pm OK, well if I'm not allowed to say the O/D button, I'm going to go with the boot release button from the remote. Or... global closing :) |
||
Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by waders on Dec 11th, 2004, 9:38pm I have to agree with the mirror, but i'm not sure witch one; reverse dipping or rear dimming? Mmm, I'll ponder!! 8) ;D 8) ;D 8) Waders |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Dave on Dec 11th, 2004, 10:30pm For me that'd have to be the mysterious missing clutch : o. Never going back to manual. Ok actual feature gizmo thing.. the vanity mirror! Yes. Ha. Or the cruise control. I love that. Love it. Yis. D PS, Mr Flop, good question! |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Lee on Dec 12th, 2004, 10:46am the bit where you wash it ,then when you turn it back on the mirrors go back to how you had them before you washed them and moved them Lee and just about everthing else on them |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by mr._floppy on Dec 12th, 2004, 5:07pm Jeez, thanks Stevelufc, another feature of the Scorpio that I never knew about. I often wondered what AVC stood for . DOH!! |
||
Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Vulcan on Dec 12th, 2004, 8:20pm Do all Scorps have this AVC? In mine I have found the menu setting on the radio and have set it to +7 but I don't notice any difference in the volume at any speeds ??? |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by daven on Dec 13th, 2004, 7:46am For me - its turning on the headed seat and waiting for my passenger to start moving from cheek to cheek ;D Oh and the heated windscreen is great too! Daven PS Vulcan - if the radio has the feature it should work, maybe the speed sensor wire is dodgy (think its the yellow one?) |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by craig on Dec 13th, 2004, 1:08pm remote boot opening,and the "fantastic" global closing mod...... excuse me mate,your windows are still open. ;) ;)....oh sorry ;D ;D...how you do that ;D mind you come the summer,the air con mod takes some beating me thinks :) |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by David_South_West on Dec 13th, 2004, 1:57pm The best Toy for me is the pedal under your right foot. It's so much fun gentle pressure gives the quite soft ride of a limousine full pressure gives the feel of a monster sports car.I can honestly say never been beaten yet...yes I know it's all showing off and bravado and so on but the people who say what's the point of having a owerful car have never driven one.It's such good fun!!!! |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Dave on Dec 13th, 2004, 3:50pm I have a quick question regarding the remote boot opening thingy... When you press the boot unlock button, should the boot swing open all the way? Mine doesn't! I think it's stiff/not lubricated enough/springs are too loose or too tight. D! |
||
Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by craig on Dec 13th, 2004, 3:57pm dave... yes to that,the springs can be adjusted,but from what other members have reported,it looks like it could be a 3/4 man job,the springs are very difficult to manipulate apparently... HTH craig.. |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Dave on Dec 13th, 2004, 6:23pm Really... right. One for the January meet then? Heh. Well that's cleared that mystery up anyway. People keep saying how good the automatic boots are and i'm thinking eh? It just sort of lifts a bit! At least the boot isn't too important! Cheers for that. D |

Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by Baz on Jan 11th, 2005, 2:18pm Macca, how does a 1995 car only have 57000 miles on it? Do you only use it to go to church on a sunday? I've had my 98 S reg silver one for 5 month. 58K when bought, now got 63800 on the clock!! Baz |
||
Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by LiverpaulH on Jan 11th, 2005, 2:52pm While I was looking for my scorpio I just assumed those with less than 90k had been clocked!! esp 1995 model year..... As for favourite toy...both mirrors and the climate control keeping you exactly at the temp you want to be at, whatever the weather, - the wife can sit and bake at 26degrees while I sit in a more pleasant 21!! |

||
Title: Re: Scorpio Toys Post by LiverpaulH on Feb 15th, 2005, 4:02pm The global closing got the wife (Heather) yesterday.....blimmin funny. She opened the lock with the key and then left it in the turned position. Her reaction when all the windows opened was a classic. I think she was quite impressed when I explained how it worked! ;D Paul |
