Title: Site suggestions
Post by EinA on Feb 2nd, 2005, 4:11pm
How to word this with out causing offence :) (just jump in)

The Scorpio site is a very good site and obviously lots of hard work.

As I also have a Granada I visit G&SO.

One feature I really like is the members log section of things they have done to there own cars. It is easy to look at the same model and see what might have to be planned for future weekends etc.

I'don't know how much extra work this would entail for the admin. If possible ?

David

Not a bad idea, but the Scorpio dosn't tend to lend itself to major modifications (with the exception of Toms Low Rider!!) I did a fair bit of odds and ends stuff to my old red one and it is all in the readers wives entry I have!

Hi EinA,

You'll find most things coverd in the "service and repairs" section of the main site I'm sure, and a look through the "problems" section here should point out things to look for ;)

Now must be time to tell ye all about my old plans which i've decided will never happen. If they did, they'd be in this section. Mm.

I was going to (yeah right) get it re-sprayed iridescent yellow/orange/red and call it the Ford Scorchio.

Scorchio!

Excellent.

No offence taken - we love suggestions about the Site and what people want.

I think we may have covered what you wanted under Readers Wives in the main site

I used to use the Readers Wives section quite often. It was good to have a peek at everyone elses cars (and update my own).

But ever since having Norton installed on the PC, I've been unable to view any search results. So I haven't used it for ages.

Oh, and I also lost the famous buttons down the left hand side of the main pages. That's quite annoying  >:(

Maybe one day I'll work out how to get it all back  :-/

WOW - 3D - That's how the site can be improved. Free 3D ScorpioSpecs can be given out at meets...

I can just see various members now in Glorious 3-Dimensional Ultimarama - Ooh That's a Scary thought...

you guys(gals) digress so quickly its like watching a game of pinball :)

What I actually meant was
example;
flushed heater matrix - works ten times better
plan to upgrade map light to Ultima spec - done, looks much better. (this ones true)

if you are away for a few days etc. its easy to miss things on the list and forums
and I'm sure there are different things to be done for the different models i.e. diesel's

David,

to insert a picture, first you need to host it on a site such as www.tinypic.com. You just browse using the button, for the picture you want and then click "Host It" It then gives goes through its routine and the page reloads with a box at the bottom containing 3 web-like addresses. If you highlight and then click copy, the one which begins with "[ img]" and ends with"[ /img]" the picture can then be inserted into the posting box you fill in to send a post to here. Just click the preview button before you submit and you will be able to see what it will look like. I would be interested to see the pictures you have.

PS, If the pictures are pretty big, just post the link from tinypic which is the normal www.****.jpg and we can look at it on their site
