A while ago I posted a not on here on how I was contacted by Testdrive magazine who wanted to do a quick feature on the Ford Scorpio, unfortunately someone else got there first and the feature now appears in Testdrive on page 66.

However - the Car they used is a Sodding 2.0 Ghia Estate, I was SOOOO disappointed, I was expecting a great review pointing out all the gadgets you get on the car - dual digital aircon, electronic tinting rearview mirror, auto dipping side mirrors in reverse etc, I was expecting a quick note on how great the Cosworth engine is, loads of effortless grunt, great sound etc

But NO !

Don't buy this mag it sucks

Do send them an email about how they have failed to show off a great car that costs b****rall (relatively) and inform them that I am hiring a muckspreader (towed by my Cossie) to decorate their offices.

Trouble is , the Scorp doesn't appeal to the typical chav or chavette who reads these type of Mags, had it been a Golf or a Citroen with only a quarter of the gizmos that a Ultima has , they'd be gushing forth on what a great bargain they were.

PP... I don't want to go out and buy the mag cos as you say it sucks but there isn't a transcript of the review on the webpage. (That I can find anyway)

Could you scan the relevant pages and post them somewhere so's we can take a look?

I'm appalled! why did they pick someone who didn't buy it for what it is but just wanted cheap transport?

Plus as you say, it isn't the best model to show off the things a Scorp has to offer for the money even though that guy thinks he has "all the bells and whistles"

They couldn't really have chosen a Scorp owner who knew much less about his car than he does.... pah! >:(
