Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Vulcan on Mar 2nd, 2005, 11:53pm What did you use Baz and how much is it? Oh and where would I get some? .. and while I'm asking daft questions where would I find someone to apply it for me (being a lazy bar steward... ;D) Truthfully I'd like to give it a go as with mine car being black it might have a nice look to it. George p.s. can you put it on the front indicators...legally I mean? |

Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Baz on Mar 3rd, 2005, 12:11am Highlander. thank you Vulcan, it is called light tinting spray and can be got from most good chav stores! I got mine at DRB Car Spares in Warrington for £9.99 (1 tin did all three sections) although you do have to watch for runs etc. Dead easy to remove when wet if you have to have another go!! Took about 1 hour to do all 3 including drying time so it doesn't take long The stop lights etc. shine through perfectly. Of course the added advantage is that they can be swapped for the non blackened ones if needs arise. I did ask my MOT guy and he sid there should be no problems Baz |

Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Paul B on Mar 3rd, 2005, 6:55am I agree - it looks sweet 8) How many coats of the Chav spray was it Baz? Just the one? I know little Kev did 2 on his, but I'm assuming you can adjust the darkness by the amount of coats you apply. |
||
Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Baz on Mar 3rd, 2005, 8:02am Two coats I think Paul But at least with having the spare ones it is a quick change back again!! Highlander, what do yours look like then?? I've shown you mine now show yours!! Baz |

Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Baz on Mar 8th, 2005, 11:10pm The fog lights are the later ones which apparently are darker around the insides and thus match the facelift headlights!! Didn't know myself until I saw an early one and a later one together. I have a spare set of indicator covers which I am going to darken a bit and see how they look. Highlander, looks good mate and especially on the darker cars it looks really good. Kerry, you must get Vulcan to sort his out now!! Are you two coming to Harewood this year? Baz |

Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Geoff_W on Mar 8th, 2005, 11:41pm Hi George In the grounds of Harewood House on Sunday 19th June, typically have to arrive early for setup, need a pass to get in and as it an all makes event, aside from exhibitors entry if you have booked you also get a display plaque for under the bonnet (or at least we did in 2004). Have a look at http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/meet0604.htm Anne and Richard Griffin are organising, if you are interested, get your name down, not sure what the price is this year but it worked out at about a fiver last year and was an absolutely great day out, loads to do and see. If it rains bagsy one of the backseats and dvd screens in S2.9 COS. ;D ;D 8) Time we dusted off the Harewood Page in News again, ping coming up. |

Title: Re: I've Chaved up my back end!! Post by Baz on Mar 9th, 2005, 12:07am We got one in 2003 when there was only 6 or 7 of us....but I lost mine!! Great day out, really hot in 2003 rained last year for part of the day, but max and paddy (Kevin R & Jayne) will be there in their camper van/ refreshments venue to supply copious amounts of wine and coke!! As Geoff said, it is a multi vehicle event with all sorts of cars turning up there is a playground for the kids (No not my car this year!!) and loads of food and drink Baz |
