Other the past weeks there as been some people who have been in much trouble with standing to lose lots of money in damage to their cars by others and through no fault of their own.
So up comes the jokers and others acting like little children and those who get personal because they don't agree what is said. even when they have not a clue as to what they are talking about themselves.
The last thing these poor people want is for lots of rubbish to be banded about when they are asking for help.
This first started when that poor student had his car damaged by a taxi driver and was asking for help. He was in a bad position,being insured with Norwich Union and the taxi driver was also insure with Norwich Union.
I would like to think that a number of people on this site help him to get what he was entitled to. that was by sticking up for himself, with what we or rather i told him.
In the end with sticking to his guns, aided by us, he did get what he was entitled to. His car to be repaired as it was before the event.

So now we got another person wanting correct advise on his losses and up comes the jokers and small minded acting the fool people.

This site in my view is not being monitor strongly enough. and there is the bad lanuage as well that pops up from time to time.
If I disagree about something I have read I keep my mouth shut tright. Its a pity some others don't do the same.
I could not car less if they are drunk after leaving the pub or drinking at home, there is never any excuse for bad manners.
As always there are some real nice people on this site, but like I say the people running this site are not clamping down.
I tell my son never to go onto live chat but he can look but not touch on others. So I going to take my own advise and look but not touch.
I will have fun with people on topic page over subjects like different size of wheels but on insurance, there are people that just don't know what is what and yet as bold as brass, coming out with wrong information based on their own circumstances that they have mis-handled and lossed out badly.
So I will say bye now, its been nice knowing some but others. well I won't exspand.

i think on some of the posts about insurance postings about peoples cars being hit i think he thinks some people are taking the Mick because he seems to know his stuff ??? hope i'm wrong but it seems like that

Been to the pub tonite and the wife drove i drank.
We shared the driving and drinking.

lets not all over react i know some people are serial drink drivers as some are career criminals, same thing in my book, but you will never catch every single one will we .

The beauty of an open forum, moderated , is an open discussion, and free speech. There are pople on this forum we all agree with and disagree with but that is life we choose to listen to those we want and block the ones we dont.

If people think they can moderate the site better than now i am sure steve eric and our old lap dog snoopy would welcome the feedback and offers of help and take things forwars wont you guys.
The phrase "you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time", and that is not having pop at anyone, that is just a fact of life on an open forum.

Another forum i use has a membership scheme and it weeds out the "jokers", who do have an opinion as well.
The gold membership on tat forum is £10 and gers you into an inner sanctum, where things are debated without offence but with respect, maybe the forum is getting too big and open to abuse.
I know the lads had all kinds of hassle earlier in the year, but sorted it at there expense and some people just female doged that the site was down, so there you go, my 2 penneth or just my drunken ramblings, you decicide.

Some people take things differently, others are more easilly offended, just dont take it so seriously, the majority of the members on this forum, speaking from experience, will help a fellow scopio driver out without question.

Also a lot of stuff happens off the board that goes unsung, people just meeting up and helping each other out.

Just let it go over your head

John V, In response to your post about the bad language this is something that I have tried to moderate on this forum as certain words can cause problems for some users accessing the site through their work systems. I have even ASKED the members to moderate the use of some of the language.

The words that cause the problems are usually what I would class as 'Strong' laguage and the use of any swear word really is NOT necessary, it really shows a lack of vocabulary.
However to not allow even the mildest of expletives in some postings, would I think be too overbearing and OTT.

If howver you find that you are offended by words you find on the forum please feel free to PM me with the offending post or email me and I will take steps to edit them out.

This is generally an OPEN forum and is not moderted like others are. People are free to express their views and opinions as long as it is not slanderous or libelous or offfensive and the rules of ettiquette are conformed to . as in the http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/aboutus.htm page

We all have our own opinions, which is what makes this Forum perhaps the best on the net or at least one of the best.

I dont know the full story. But if we cant help each other , who will help us :-/and sometimes you have to laugh ;Dor you just end up crying :'( But when it comes down to crunch time, I dont think that theres anyone in the club that wont help someone out.As the Royal Navy TV advet says "THE TEAM WORKS" or something on thous lines.
