What little extras would you like on your car ?

I was working under the bonnet the other day and thought it would have been useful to have had a 12v socket for a small lead lamp and an under bonnet starter button, neither exactly new ideas as both are fitted to my 1966 Daimler 250 V8.
What extra toys / gadgets would you like ( keep it simple & some of the clever chaps might tell you how to make it happen - so no warp drives or invisibility devices please, unless you can make it work ) ;D ;D ;D

Eddie,

No light under the bonnet as far as I know. There was on the Mk 3 though so I guess it was one of the things that got deleted along with dimmable dash lights and warning lights to tell you a bulb has gone.

Forget all the silly electrics, the only thing I'd want added to my 24v is a Turbocharger.

An audible sound or flash of lights to indicate successful door locking and unlocking would be handy. Nightime illumination on the air flow nozzles, a button to open the boot from inside the car , a buzzer or dashboard indicator when seatbelts are not secured, a dashboard instrument cluster illumination dimmer, a place for putting a beverage can or tea cup ( I'm struggling now !).

Apart from that, I'm quite happy with my Scorp.

Mr Floppy. I have all but the illumiated air vents. All i need is a Scorp to put them in ;D ;D ;D ;D

my mk2 granada has these, very well equipped cars they are. ;D ;D ;D

Craig, didn't some people have trouble with the gobal closing that is why i have stayed away from it ???
because i would have to get someone to fit mine thenif it went wrong would cost me loads to put right

I've had mine for 2 years now,no probs ;D But Steve collister fitted it ;D

Lee,

Haven't fitted mine yet but I think all the problems were down to using scotch-locks and/or not quite finding the right wire as per instructions.

Pretty sure nobody had any long term problems once they got it fitted correctly. I'm sure we would have heard if they did ;)

I'd like a sunroof switch on the centre console as I don't understand why they're always mounted on the roof! It makes sense but having to lift my arm up in the air like that.. no thanks. Maybe i'll get hold of a switch and do it. Mmm.

the unit itself which steve make's up is not the problem,and i can 100% recommend it,there have been "teething troubles" when fitting the units,even though full and comprehensive instructions are provided (and can be fitted in approx 2 hours),if you do not connect the unit correctly,and to the correct wires,sure there are going to be problems,cant think of any member who has had a problem with it not working,only to find out that the wrong wire has been connected,or indeed the usage of scotch locks,as long as the instructions are followed correctly,and good connections made,you should be ok.......

Bulb's on the dash illumination that don't keep going out like candles! ;)
