Title: How many left?? Post by Chad66 on Apr 6th, 2005, 11:35am We know that there was less than 100,000 Scorpios ever made. Since then, lots will have been scrapped, stripped for parts, written off etc etc.... Any ideas how/if we can find out exactly how many are actually on the road?.......just a thought.... |

Post by KEEF on Apr 8th, 2005, 5:25pm Hi I have seen five more today, 3 facelift one's. 2 in Knightbridge and one in Dartford on the way home. 2 pre facelift one's, which one had sticky tape holding the bumper on. I'm not sure how many that make's it, because I've just put my shoe back on. So I'm not taking them off again to count them all up again thank you very much. KEEF Keith |

Under the 'Freedom Of Information Act' they are obliged to tell you. Mind you, it was weeks ago that I asked and I still haven't heard anything :( |

Post by Chad66 on Apr 11th, 2005, 11:07am Paul, Did you use the 'FOI Request Form' from DVLA...just been looking at their website, you don't have to use it, but they recommend it. And they will only respond to written requests AFAIK. The site says the public should have access to any of their records whether written, held on computer or otherwise, so like you say, this could be the best shot at finding out how many still on the GB register, after all we are only after numbers, not owner details so no confidentiallity issues. BTW we have 20 working days to respond to FOI requests at work, and thats in a Gov dept so if its been longer than that, give 'em a push.... |
