hi all not been on for a while been slummin it in the south of france for the last two weeks delivering furniture anyway i had a call from a mate of mine who said he was in a breakers yard that his mate works at and they have a scorpio in with half leather recaros and a half wood steering so i asked how much so he said i will ring you back an i am thinkin fourty fifty maybe sixty quid and when he called back he said sit down before i tell you and when he told me he wants thirty quid for it i said **** me i will have it so tommorow i am gonna fit my very good condition half wood steering wheel to my car that was only thirty quid

right result :) ;D :) ::)

But don't they look nice Craig?? They were an optional extra on their own as well and cost £199.99 without cruise control and £239.99 with cruise (1996 prices!!)

There was also a wood/leather steering wheel with a wooden piece at the bottom of the wheel, not just at the top like ours Craig! I'll do a photo in a bit

George, if the interior is in good nick, and cheap, one went on EBay recently for 250 quid!

thanks for the pic,i have never heard of,let alone seen the one with the wood down the bottom,i thought ours were quite rare,what about that one !!??....
has anybody seen a scorpio with one of them on ?

I don't wish to be Mr Picky, not that it doesn't look good , but in a severe crash situation is a splintering wooden ( yes, WOODEN !!, like the Industrial Revolution never happened ) chest impaler the most sensible thing to have around ?

what instead of a leather covered steel bar!?

The wood is merely a veneer over pvc over steel so not a huge bent piece of vampire impaling tree trunk!

hi there

i don't like the one with the 2 bits of wood. something not right with it, imo. now the one you've got, well, you know i bring some tools to harewood........... ;D
