As some of you may know I'm in the USA and have a Corvette which is coming back to the UK in June. Anyway I belong to a Corvette Web Site and Forum and I often think how similar it is to our Scorpio site, great bunch of people who are knowledgable and always helpful.

Then I read this thread and realised how different we actually are :)

You're right though, we are different... we'd just use the guns on our cars when they go wrong ;)

No, seriously, it's obviously a totally different attitude out there. And proves the point that you never know who's got what.

SLIGHTLY FURTHER A FIELD I CAN REMEMBER SEEING A NEWS ARTICLE ABOUT "CAR JACKING" IN SOUTH AFRICA,THIS WAS SUCH A HIGE PROBLEM OVER THERE,THAT SOMEONE OVER THERE CAME UP WITH THE INVENTION OF AN FLAME THROWER THAT WAS FITTED UNDERNEATH THE CAR,AND POINTING OUTWARDS ON BOTH SIDES (FULLY LEGAL OVER THERE AS WELL :o :o),THEY SHOWED A DEMONSTRATION ON THE TELLY,AND IF SOMEONE APPROACHED YOUR CAR FROM EITHER SIDE,AND TRIED TO FORCE THERE WAY INTO THE VEHICLE,OR THREATENED YOU IN ANY WAY,YOU SIMPLY PUSH A BUTTON FROM INSIDE THE CAR,AND "HEY PRESTO"....

JUST A SHAME IT WAS NOT LEGALISED IN THIS COUNTRY.

if that happened in this country the guy who tripped over his foot would sue the diver for personal injury and also problems with his earing and loss of earnings as he couldnt walk to post office for his dole money.

It's funny how it becomes a normal part of your life - got invited down to a gun range to try out some big handguns the other day - it was IN THE LOCAL SHOPPING MALL alongside Wendy's and the supermarket!!

You can take a short course run by the Police and you are then allowed to carry a concealed firearm on your person. Remember the guy in Norfolk who got sent down for shooting the robber in the back - over here he would have a hero. I'm not saying which is best but at the very least I'd like to see UK Police carry firearms.

If anyone wants to know what a Corvette looks, runs and sounds like then take a look at this ;)

Love the idea of the Flame thrower only don't mistake the button for the drivers window when the Police stop you!!!
