Title: Re: Camera's ? Post by LiverpaulH on May 18th, 2005, 10:16pm We've got a pentax optio 555 which we bought in australia. It is superb. 8x zoom 5 megapixel. Can't rate it highly enough. If you can get it in the uk do so. We bought a 512mb memory card, spare batt, case and the camera for $1000 approx £450. Worth every penny. We had just started a 3 month hol of aus and nz. Filled three cd's with photos! This was over about 18months ago so should be a lot less than what we paid. You can also get smaller memory cards. I know the 128meg card was approx £80 cheaper. Hope this helps Paul |

Title: Re: Camera's ? Post by scorpio_man on May 19th, 2005, 7:04am hi there pictbridge.....this is a new 'thing' for newer photo printers. the camera sets the printer up so the colours should be more accurate. btw the way, i use a older nikon 775 2m camera. photos are still good from it and is easy to use. |

Title: Re: Camera's ? Post by mr._floppy on May 19th, 2005, 10:15am Recently bought a Canon EOS 300D for £550 with a 1gb memory card thrown in. So easy to plug in to your PC , and downloading is simple. Picasa 2 is a very good simple storage and filing system , download it from the Net ( It's free ). |

Title: Re: Camera's ? Post by Paul_Boulden on May 20th, 2005, 4:59pm I use a Nikon Coolpix 995 ( now superseded by the 4500 ) and know several people who use other Coolpix models. I find it easy to use and download but you can, if you wish, make it more complicated with the settings menu. They are very versatile. Paul Boulden |
