Title: Re: networking assistance Post by scorpio_man on Jul 13th, 2005, 9:48pm hi craig/lee you could try this..... with xp, click on 'my computer'. highlight the hard drive (c?), then RIGHT click it. from the drop down box, click sharing and security. then tick the 'share this folder on the network'. also click 'allow network users to change my files. should work depending on how the network was/is set up. hth btw, this needs to be done on both computers and individual folders...ie my documents, my music etc. |

Title: Re: networking assistance Post by Snoopy on Jul 14th, 2005, 9:50am The networking wizard in XPmight solve your problems . Also try double clicking network connections and run through that. But you do need a good firewall in place if you allow sharing, but that in itself can cause problems as I know only too well. GOOD LUCK ;D |
