MSN are running a feature on the "Top 10 disastrous cars" and the Scorpio is there at no. 5!

My First car was a Datsun Cherry,
Tho about the Scorpio, the review could have been better there was a compliment there, "though this styling trick is successfully employed by many manufacturers today", the thing is the Scorpio was and still is ahead of its time.

What is an outrage is that I've owned 3 cars off that list!!!!!!!!!!! :o...and was close to buying a Stag at one time...didn't realise I had such a disasterous history of car ownership!! :P

What really annoys me about these so called car journalists is their ability to churn out the same old c**p year on year about the same bunch of cars. I don’t want to know that a number of reporters didn't like the way a car looked or that the manufacturers turned out a lemon! I want individual proof that these cars were SO bad that they gained place in the top 10 worst cars of all time! Take our Scorpio’s for example, an absolutely beautiful car that fulfilled its intention of being something different which it was at the time. Fair enough the styling wasn't to everyone’s tastes but I’m sure it appealed to a great number of people. This being hampered by these wannabe car journalists who simply thought it looked ugly!!! and unfortunately a seemingly good amount of people who take their word for it that’s its a bad car!!! The Scorpio is the best car I have ever owned and I bow to Ford for taking the risk and producing such a wonderful car.

BTW I also love the stag too and it has a cult following across the globe along with many other triumph automobiles. God knows why it deserved a place in the top ten!!!

Anyway that’s my rant for the day! we all know we like our Scorpio's and shame on those people who have to take the journalists word for it!

They didn't drive one to know what it's about. They will never will, and never know how much they are losing. But that is their problem not ours.

I think you will actually find that most of the critism of the Scorpio is levelled at the pre-facelift cars with their chrome strips and grille!!! ;D
